About What If- The
series What If was released twice only to be canceled each time years
latter. The first issue showed "What If Spider-man had joined the
Fantastic Four" and it only got better from there. By showing how a single
event could change an entire event, such legends as Stan Lee, Roy Thomas,
John Byrne, and others retold classics in the grand marvel style.
Synopsis- Reed
and the team don't make it back due to
their second capture
by Annihulus. Namor joins the team and they chase after a grief stricken
Reed to stop him from killing Annihulus and possibly himself. A true
classic.
Best Moments-
The Kirby art and the Stan Lee like story was a
wonderous addition to the book. Also, behind the scenes shots are shown of
what was happening while the team was in the zone. The hatred
of Reed and the cowardness of Annihulus really brings the book
alive.
Weak Points-
The earieness of the book is a
odd touch, but stems from the fact that it's close to
what would of happened. Truely a dark tale of the
team
