Inferno
2

About the Title-The Avengers hold the record for the most numbers of members for a single team in the Marvel Universe. With over 60 members so far, the team has strived to fight threats that couldn't be overcome by any single hero. With such names as Thor, Captain America, Iron Man, and many more; the team has fought villains such as Doctor Doom, Galactus, Kang, and more. With the Thing and She-Hulk  as previous members, it was only a matter of time that others would soon join from the Fantastic 4. While they only lasted 5 issues, it was a nice change from the normal pace of the Invisible Woman and Mister Fantastic.

Synopsis-
While the X-Men saga, Inferno, wages on; the Nanny (a villain who kidnaps young mutants) has his lackey kidnap Franklin Richards from his parents house (Reed and Sue were retired and Ben was running the team). The Captain (Captain America in his current identity) heads out of New York to find help to fight the demon filled Inferno that infected New York. Reed, Sue, and the Captain chase after the Nanny to recover Franklin. They battle the Orphan-maker and the Nanny  to a stand still and pick up the help of Gilgamesh:The Forgotten One, who's a Eternal. They fly into New York City and meets  up with Thor. They do battle with Kang's Growing Man and then cripples the demons plans to rule the dimension. For those who are lost with the names, don't worry, the story is written so that the non-Avengers fan can understand it.

Best Moments-Sue and Reed, back in action; classic action like it was from the 60's and 70's; classic villains; classic heroes; John Buscema's art, gotta love it; all the Avengers up this point and their appearances; a retelling of Avengers issue 1; and overall a great comic.

Weak Points-The same costumes on Reed and Sue was sort of a drag, but it was rather classic. That and the short stint of Reed and Sue on the team was rather disappointing. You might have to buy Thor issue 400 and Captain America issue 350 to better understand the costume change of Captain America and the appearance of the Black Knight with Thor.

Over all rating-4 out of 4 flares. If you like the classic Fantastic Four, issue 60 and above, then your going to love this issue.
