The Devil You Know

NOTE TO READERS-The Nova of the main dimension was killed in Silver Surfer vol. 3 no. 75 (The HeraldOrdeal).  Morg (the current herald of Galactus) killed her off. The former heralds (the Silver Surfer, Firelord, Gabriel the Air-Walker, and Terrax) ganged up on Morg to avenge Nova's death.  Morg died during the battle at the hands of Terrax. The Galactus of our world was killed off near Shiar by a band of superheroes. Thanks to Dry Flood for in the info about Nova's death.
Synopsis- Galactus's Head crash lands in Manhattan. The team discovers that the head belonged to a Galactus from another dimension. The previous member of the team, Nova, is found in the head of Galactus who is also from a different dimension. After a short battle with the Hulk, the team goes to the Watcher's home to discover that he has suffered a memory loss and that part of his medallion is missing. The "Law Enforcement Squad", a team of heroes from the other dimension attacks the team.
The "Law Enforcement Squad"'s members are the Hulk, the Shroud (West Coast Vigilantee), The Rose (New York Crime Lord), Buck Barnes (Captain America's old partner), Dr. Druid (an cheesy old Avenger), the Whizzer (1940 hero), Captain Universe (a cosmic power that enfuse the welder with a enormous amount of energy), Battling Jack (Daredevil's father), Red Raven (1940 hero who went mad), the Living Lighting (previous West Coast Avenger, and Namora (cousin of Namor and person that Namorita was cloned from).
With the help of Captain Universe and Dr.Druid, Reed finds Abraxas surrounded by a number of dead Galactuss, and Abraxas, who is wearing the broken half of Watcher's Madealon writes in the sky "I am Coming. Franklin and Valeria finally make a return Cameo since they have been somewhere on the otherside of the universe.

Part two is with the Thing trying to caputure the Dragonman for Franklin's coming home party. During the fight, he realizes that the Dragonman is a gentle, nearly harmless creature and leaves him to graze.

Best Monuments- Unlike previous annuals, this one is packed full of stories. The six page battle between the Fan 4 and the "Law Enforcement Squad" was really cool. The entire book gives a overall sence to the purpose of the team as they ivestagate the strange and unknown. Namorita, one of my favorite character, made a great fifth member.

Weak Points- Way too much way too fast. Which in a way I liked, but I had to read it a few times to catch up.

Over all rating- 4 out of 4 flares.

Many thanks to the people at www.marvel.com where I took the images from and the creators of the book. Check them out.
