Annihilation

Synopsis-With the help of Maximus and his Alpha Primitives (Black Bolt's half brother and a mess of lower class Inhumans), an alien named Gornkai, and Hellscout; the team attacks the Trapster's base, but not before the Annihilus's Cosmic Rod is split in half and the energy erupts onto Earth. Johnny's team, who defeats the Awesome Android, arrives just in time to see the energy leak out. Johnny attempts to absorb the energy, but the energy proves to be too much. The Thing puts the Cosmic Rod back together and Hellscout impales Annihilus, seemly killing him. Noah's space station attempt to absorb the energy and vanishes. The team arrives back on Earth to learn that the Torch can no longer flame off, the execs at the Gideon Foundation get fired, and the Alpha Primitives find a little depowered Annihilus.

Best Moments-This book has nearly everything. Alot of action, a bit of humor, and it brings the entire book together. The line "Yeah, well the madder the She-Hulk gets , the ....... whatever" that She-Hulk spouts off was hilarous. The invunrable are not quite invunrable and everything seems a lot simplier as the team goes back to normal. Look at page one of the book for a tribute to Jack Kirby. All four images of the team are based on Jack Kirby drawings.

Weak Points- Weak points?? Nada, none, the book kicked ass. The main complaintI heard was the Alpha Primitives finding Ammihus. Personally I though that was the best part.

Over all rating- 4 out of 4 flares. The best issue in years.
