You Can't Get There From Here

Synopsis-Proving the power of the book, the story takes a turn as Ben goes back to see Alicia. The Torch, still not able to Flame Off, lashes out at Reed, as Ben once did. Reed finds a temporary solution by fitting him with a suit to regulate his cosmic energies. Ben quits the team and team goes out to make sure that he's in his right mind. When they arrive, Ben attacks the team and Susan in the middle of the battle convinces Ben to change back to Human form, breaking the spell. They discover that the Puppet Master is behind Ben's actions and has taken control of the entire town under the control of S.H.I.E.L.D. agents. The town's people are criminally insane who are living a normal life due to the Puppet Master's enhanced powers. Alicia and Ben get together later and realize that while they are not in love anymore, they can be just friends.

Best Moments-Seeing Johnny lashing out at Reed was a interesting twist on the book. The battle is classic since Ben knew all their tactics. The best part was that it was Susan's own bravery that made Ben turn back hence breaking the spell. I really enjoyed the Alicia/Ben relationship finally ending, instead of it just dragging on. Now if only they could find Lyra and Ms. Marvel (Sharon Ventura) and tie up those loose ends.

Weak Points- Nada, it was a nice break from the ordinary books.

Over all rating- 4 out of 4 flares. Great book, worth reading, but still it's going a bit too fast. Although I very happy in the direction that it's taking.
